DEF 49 is right here with a slightly more up-tempo set to take us into the holiday weekend. First up is cover artist, DJ and producer Michael Woods from Hackney in North London. Michael, also known as Out Of Office, is gigging in Australia during April before stopping off down the road from me here in South London at the Coronet on 16th May. http://www.outofoffice.tv/ I think my favourite track of the set is Cahill’s “Sex shooter”. www.myspace.com/ilovecahill Cahill are UK trio Anton Powers, Tim Condran and Scott Rosser. This is funky electro at its best. Respect guys. In a similar vein the latest from Funkerman does not disappoint. Check out the held-back haunting vocal on this. The trippy “Moonshine rising” by Rod Carrillo and Ronnie Sumrall gave me goosebumps, before DJ Vitto’s “No stop” killer bassline got me really moving. The well-travelled Tortured Soul bring the mood down just a little with “Home to you”.
