THIS week’s set is a light frothy funky disco affair and who better to have on the cover than former Miss Washington Kristine W who next month releases her new album “The power of music”. Later on you’ll spot another mix of Chaka Khan’s “Disrespectful”, and I do think that this one, from Red Top, is the best of the lot. Other disco classics making a reappearance are Lonnie Gordon’s “Catch you baby” which in 1991 was originally called “Gonna catch you”; “Another sleepless night” by Shawn Christoper (also from 1991); and another mix of “Clothes off”, from Jermaine Stewart. My favourite of the set is probably “Wud if I could” by Anthony Wright; a great vocal performance.
