WELCOME to Episode 35, an up-tempo, funky set. I had great fun mixing this so I really hope you enjoy it too. First up is Turkish DJ, producer and bass guitarist Ali Sural, with his delicious “Heavenly”. On “It ain’t you” they create the perfect canvas for Drifters vocalist Victor Bynoe. Victor joined The Drifters in 2003 and is still part of the current line-up. (If you don’t know them – ask your Dad!) http://www.thedrifters.co.uk/ The intriguing combination of Swiss audio engineer Steven Stone and Juillard scholar David Bruce Whitley has produced the deep house track “Free to go” which I’ve included here in its Deep Headz dub mix. http://www.myspace.com/djstevenstone Finally, you’ll catch David “Redsoul” Wareing’s partnership with vocalist Andrea Love (remember The Praise Cats’ “Shined on me”?).
